Wow... I hadn't even seen this article until today... thanks for the kind words!

What Joe is saying is certainly true in a lot of cases, but I have to wonder why a company called Sports Graphics even thought to submit anything with a gradient with all the problems gradiented logos cause in sports marketing. Even if it were a suggested by someone at the university who thought a gradient would make the wordmark look cooler or more unique, someone with the company should have reminded them of the difficulties gradients cause when printing or embroidering. Judging by the lack of Loyola merch with the new logo available online, I'm guessing that conversation never happened.

As far as the varied majors, that's one thing I'll give you. But you're high if you think those teams don't practice at the same time. It's not every day, but it's fairly often.

Everything you said about the teams practicing at the same time is false. Also, all student-athletes have varied majors at every college in every division. This is nothing unique.

The new mascot is still around - that is the sad thing. The admins don't listen to the students and people asociated with the univ try to state "students and staff like it". I even wrote the AD and Scott Ochander and received no reply. It is horrible and just leaving it as a "done deal" is even worse.
