Milwaukee upset by Wisconsin

A goal in the first half by Laurie Nosbusch was the only tally on the scoreboard as the Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Milwaukee Panthers 1-0 at McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison.

The real story of the game is the ankle injury to Sarah Hagen, who suffered what looked to be a sprain of some kind that ended her game eventually in the first half.

Nosbusch’s goal came off a header off a corner kick.  The Panthers missed an opportunity in the 25th minute to tie the game at one.

Hagen attempted to come back in, even scoring a near-goal in the first half.  However, she came up from the attempt with a noticeable limp, and the Panthers were without their top goal scorer for the rest of the match.

The Panthers return to the pitch next week.
