Michael Moynihan and David Nikolic are waking up to their highest regional NSCAA ranking ever, with the Milwaukee Panthers women’s soccer team ranked #1 in the Great Lakes Region and #14 in the National poll.
The previous high was #2, set several times and equaled in last week’s poll. Milwaukee reached #1 in the Great Lakes poll by going 6-0, tallying two victories over Iowa State and Minnesota this past week.
The Panthers also reached #14 in the Soccer America poll, also a high for the program – the previous high in the SA poll was #17. The same week the Panthers were 16 in the NSCAA poll – and they are also at an all-time high in this poll, going all the way up to #14.
It’s a big week for Milwaukee as they finish the hardest part of their non-conference schedule, on national television (Fox Soccer) vs. Marquette on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Sunday vs. Wisconsin at 4 p.m.
