IUPUI’s Young kept in check

Using strong defense from Ryan Allen and frustrating their star, the Milwaukee Panthers toppled the IUPUI Jaguars 62-49 on Friday night at the Arena.

Milwaukee was led in scoring by Ryan Allen and Kyle Kelm, who each dropped in 14. Allen was 7-for-9 from the field in the game, showing extremely smart decision-making with the ball and pulling off a wonderful defensive outing on Alex Young.

The Jags star took himself out of the game by drawing a technical foul after spitting out his mouthguard and smacking the floor following a ticky-tack foul call. The double foul brought his total to four and he didn’t re-enter the game until the waning moments, fouling out with 3:52 remaining.

Milwaukee turns its attention to Texas Southern, the preview of which will come shortly on PantherU.
